Special Issue: Active Travel and Mobility Management.

Silvio Nocera (Università IUAV di Venezia, Italy) and Maria Attard (University of Malta, Malta) are launching a Call for Papers for the Special Issue: Active Travel and Mobility Management. This is linked to the NECTAR Joint Meeting of Cluster 2: Policy and Environment and Cluster 7: Social and Health Issues, to be held in Venice, Italy, 26-27 March 2020. However, Guests Editors welcome papers not necessarily presented at the Meeting.

Cluster 2 & 7 joint meeting: “Social and Health Implications of Active Travel Policies”

Cluster 2 of NECTAR (Network of European Communications and Transport Activities Research) focuses on policy and environmental issues and is planning to organize a joint meeting in 2020 with Cluster 7 dealing with Social and Health Issues. The meeting will be held at the Università Iuav di Venezia in Venice, Italy between the 26th and 27th March 2020. The Conference will bring together leading researchers from Europe and elsewhere. Deadline for abstract submissions is 18 December 2019. Cluster 7 Workshop: Social and Health Issues in Transportation

It is our pleasure to invite you to a workshop of NECTAR Cluster 7 (Social and Health Issues) which will be held at the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands, June 6-8, 2018. Workshop: Smart Cities – Governing Accessibility, Air Pollution and Equity

The call for papers for a special joint Cluster 2/6 workshop Smart Cities – Governing Accessibility, Air Pollution and Equity at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, August 24-25, 2017 can be found here.

This workshop aims to discuss the complex relationships between transport, urbanization, inequalities in accessibility and air pollution, and the governance and policy implications of the development of smart and equitable cities and transport policies. The workshop focuses on major cities and metropolitan areas in Europe, North America and Brasil.

 Please note that is a small sized workshop (20 persons) for which University of São Paulo will apply for co-funding from the São Paulo Research Foundation FAPESP. For this application, the full workshop programme, including abstracts and CVs of presenters, is needed. We will be able to fund airline tickets, meals and accommodation for three nights, for one author per paper, if FAPESP provides funding. In the unlikely case that FAPESP funding is unavailable, conference dinner and accommodation for two nights will be offered to 20 participants, for only one author per paper. In addition to invited speakers a limited number of abstracts will be accepted.

NECTAR Joint Cluster 2 and Cluster 3 International Workshop
