Call for abstracts: Cluster 4 Meeting

We are pleased to announce the 2016 NECTAR Cluster 4 meeting on “Travel, migration, housing and labour market in a context of crisis. Cluster 3 Workshop

We are pleased to invite you to a NECTAR (Network of European Communications and Transportation Academic Researchers) Cluster 3 workshop. The meeting will take place in Algarve, Portugal (16 – 17 April 2015 ) and will be dealing with the topic of “Sustainable freight transport – are cities willing and ready for the recent advances in transport technologies?” This meeting will bring together leading researchers from a number of disciplines and countries in a friendly environment to debate the recent developments on the study of logistics and freight transport. Enhancing the network efficiency: air transport and sustainability

NECTAR Cluster 1 workshop 7-8 May 2015, Cranfield, United Kingdom

There are many reasons to strive to improve the efficiency of transport networks. While economic reasons used to dominate the debate, environmental reasons are gaining importance but not, for now, social reasons although increasingly equity is seen as another dimension of efficiency. Air transport networks are a special and important case to examine network efficiency. Demand for air transport is steadily growing over time, on average over 4-5% per annum and this has been taking place for several decades and is predicted to continue in the near future.
